Brent graduated Cum Laude from UFS and joined HG Physio and The Sharks rugby union where he worked as team physio for 12 years. He’s a Director in HG Physio and has helped grow the company to 10 practices and 52 staff. He currently works as Chief Physiotherapist at Prime Human Performance Institute at the Moses Mabidha Stadium where he looks after High-Performance athletes and various professional teams across multiple sports codes. He is involved with Physio services for top finishers in sporting events like the Comrades marathon, the Duzi and the Midmar Mile.

With almost 20 years of experience as a sports physiotherapist, he is passionate about working with athletes; from pros to weekend warriors and sporty children. He is also committed to the on going education and professional development of Physiotherapists and runs courses through his company, UpSkill.

He currently sits on the National Executive board of the South African Society of Physiotherapy and has previously served on the South African Sports Medicine Association board.

Brent was born and raised in Bloem, studied and did his community service there. He’s married to his high school sweetheart and has 2 beautiful daughters aged 7 and 3.

His hobbies include; Music (He plays bass guitar and has played in various worship bands), Kayak fishing, camping and playing competitive tennis.

Brent is a board member at The La Lucia Baby house and with 2 adopted daughters, has a real heart for abandoned and orphaned children.
